Privacy Policy — The Alpha

Last updated: June 5, 2026

The Alpha ("the app", "we", "us") is a habit-quitting and streak-tracking app published by JeJiEgypt. This policy explains how the app handles your information. The short version: the app collects nothing, sends nothing, and stores everything only on your device. This policy applies to The Alpha for Android.

No data collected, no data shared

The Alpha does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal or usage data. The app does not request the Internet permission and has no network capability at all — it is technically incapable of sending your information anywhere. The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs or trackers, and it requires no account, sign-in, email, or login. It does not access or use any device identifier or advertising ID.

What the app stores on your device

Everything you create in the app is saved locally, in the app's private on-device storage, and never leaves your device. This includes:

This data is stored only for the app to function on your device. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else.

Your data stays on your device

The app explicitly disables cloud backup and device-to-device transfer of its data (allowBackup="false", with backup and transfer rules set to exclude all app data). Because the app stores personal habit information, that data is intentionally kept on-device only — it is not copied to the cloud and does not move to a new phone during device setup. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, the information is permanently deleted.

Notifications

The app requests permission to show notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS on Android 13+). It is used only to display local "level-up" notifications on your device when you reach a new rank. These notifications are generated entirely on your device (scheduled locally) and contain only your own habit and rank information. Nothing is fetched from or sent to any server, and there is no push-messaging service. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app's settings.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
